Happy Birthday to me

Can I just say 26 has already been an awesome age :) Ok so it has only been a day but this is what I was planning on happening. Tj works and goes to school full time. He was going to be gone from 7am to 9pm :( I was trying not to get down but how fun is a birthday if you don't even get to spend it with the person you love. The day before I told the kids it was going to be my Birthday and they said they didn't care. I could only imagine them being little brats and nothing going my way. Well this is NOT at all how my day went...

Tj was lucky enough to be able to get the day off from work! Yay first Surprise from my good friend Phillip!! Can I say this is the best gift I could have gotten! Tj spoiled me rotten. We got the kids off to school and had a really good breakfast my favorite French toast! Gage went to sleep so Tj and I had some time just us together. This never happens with 3 crazy boys. Once we picked Brock up from school we went to lunch at Zupa's MMM! Oh and we can't forget shopping. What would a birthday be like without shopping! It was time to pick up Damon once we got home we did more shopping and then my next surprise!! Tj turned in his homework and ditched out on school just for me :) Then my friends Megan and Aliesha came over. Back up for just a second... The night before we went to a class about bread making. We seriously learned the most amazing easy bread recipe ever. You can make so many things with this one recipe. As you can see I am really excited about this. Well, My cutest friends brought me an apron and the ingredients to start making this bread. Not just any apron either it is so cute! So I have decided that I am now going to be a homemaker and make my own home made bread every week. My other really good friend Jill and her family brought over fresh home made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! I have the best friends and family anyone could ever ask for! My kids wished me a Happy Birthday every second of the day. It was great :) Later on we had Cheesecake and luckily I had my kids to help me blow out all the candles. The boys said I was going to start our house on fire!! I was able to talk to my sisters, my mom and dad, had both of my brothers sing to me and the Spackman's came over! What a perfect day! Thanks for making 26 so special everyone

Is he seriously 7?

This is a belated post to my little man Damon! I can't believe you are 7 years old? Where did the time go? You have no idea what a blessing you were to your Mommy and Daddy. We love you so much! I am so glad you chose to go to Pirate Island Pizza for your birthday. Wasn't it fun? You even got some golden treasure! You are so good at riding on your spark scooter! You are so talented in so many ways. You had the first Birthday out of your entire 1st grade! That is so lucky! Damon we love what a great example you are to others. Keep on being that amazing little boy you are! Happy Birthday Buddy!!

Summer Fun!

I didn't realize how long it has been since I have done a post. After Brock's birthday we have had a lot happen. 4th of July, Yuba Lake, 24th and more! Our family loves summer time. Fireworks are everyone's favorite around here. Tj loves going and getting them with his boys. This year Tj taught them how to lite the fireworks. Mom didn't love this idea but they did good and they had fun! My sister had a BBQ at her house for lunch. It was fun to get together with my family I love them. After we went to our friends house Brooke and Bo on the 4th. We started it out with an amazing water fight. Of course the girls won :) After we had a yummy BBQ and then waited for the fireworks to start. We are so lucky to live right next to Thanksgiving point. We have the best view, it is amazing! While we were waiting we had poppers and regular fireworks. Glow sticks are always a must for the 4th right?!?

We also went on a little vacation with our good friends the Wagstaff's. They are so much fun! We have been on a few outings with them and our families have a really good time together. But OH the Yuba trip from hell. Everything went wrong! Between the boat braking down twice, getting stuck in the lake. Wave runners braking, boys getting cars stuck in the sand, to the generator not working. I can't even tell you how many things happened. We can say there was never a dull moment :) It was still such a blast. And we came back with killer tans. When something went wrong that night we were already laughing about it. It will definately be a trip we will never forget :)

I have waited to long to write this post and have already forgotten alot of the things we did this summer. But, between swimming, parks, hikes, picnics, Lagoon, Carnivals, Birthdays, Camping, Thanksgiving point, and even just those lazy days it was a great Summer! I am sad to see it end :(

Back to School!

I love summer time. I love the fact that my kids are home. We can sleep in be lazy and stay in our Pajamas until noon if we wanted. I love how warm it is! Swimming, parks, walks, hiking, camping, running through the sprinklers, and picnics. Those are just a few of our favorite things. My boys are so much fun to be with. I always dread when school comes along. But it is here!

This year Damon is now in 1st grade! I can't even believe I have a first grader. I can't be that old can I? Damon loves school! He loves going all day and he loves eating school lunch. To tell you the truth it isn't that bad for mom either! I thought I was going to dread the day my child went to school for the full day but, when he comes home he is happy to be with me. We don't get so sick of each other as easily. Damon has always loved to be on a schedule and he always is needing something to do. When he gets home now he actually wants to relax for a minute! I think I have discovered a little piece of heaven :)

Brock is now in Kindergarten. I just don't know how the time went by so fast. Trust me... It doesn't get easier with the second. The first day of school I am out snapping pictures of him by the bus. The bus driver asks if it is my first and I tear up. "NO" She says, "it doesn't get any easier" SO TRUE. IF anything I think it is even more hard because now both of them are gone. Brock also loves school! He is more of a trouble maker than I would have thought though. He is such a good boy at home. I seriously don't have very many problems with this kid but at school it is a whole different story. We have to tell him every day to make sure he listens really good to his teacher so he won't have to put his head down anymore. The first two days were rough but now that he is working hard he is doing great.

Gage is my only one home now. I thought he would have a hard time because he loves playing with his brothers. It is so nice to have one on one time with Gage. He is such a cool kid! He can always put a smile on my face. He has loved just being with mom. It is fun to see there little personalities come out. I love my boys and I feel so lucky to have them in my life. I have to say now that school is in... I think I am going to like this!! Who would have thought?!?

Birthday Boy!

Written by Mommy, told by Brock

My birthday was the funnest birthday ever. We went to Liberty Land and my favorite part was Lazer Tag. I got a Ben 10 watch. I pretend I turn into an alien. I got Bakugan's from my friend Aiden. These are so cool I like to sneak them in my pocket. I turned 5 it is fun. I got magnets from my grandma. We like to build stuff with them. I got some games for my ds. Indiana Jones and Ben 10. Damon likes this the best. He helps me get to bigger levels. I got a paint ball gun but it didn't work so I saled it and got some new toys with my money. But I kept the paint balls so I could just throw them. Some stay alive so I throw them again and then the paint comes out and they are dead. We ate cupcakes and we had a late night because my grandma and grandpa came over. We got to blow the bubbles they gave me. I liked the boat at liberty land to. My friends Aiden and Gavin got to come. Gavin was a little scared of the rides and that made me sad. I want him to play with me again so he can have fun at my house. He likes to play the ds so I will have him play that with me instead. Damon Aiden and me were brave we likeded all the scary rides! But I didn't even think any of them were scary because I am 5. I love my Birthday I wish I had my birthday everyday.

camping with the fam!

We decided to take the boys camping this weekend. We went up American Fork canyon and stayed by silver lake. We had the most amazing spot ever! The views were so beautiful and what more can you ask for. We made S'mores (the best part of camping) Swam in the lake, ate, ate, and ate! I don't think we could have had anymore food. The boys loved the fire of course!

Brock burned his forehead! They kept putting sticks in the fire and would blow on the end. Well, he missed his mouth and went straight for his head. He is a tough kid though. Mom if you are reading this don't worry it wasn't that bad :)

Since Gage isn't walking he had dirt all over him. I think he got more in his mouth than anything else. He loved eating it but when you told him it was yucky he would try to get it out of his mouth and throw it. Whenever you would turn away from him, it would be right back in his mouth!

Damon loves to camp. He loves everything about it! Most of all he loves to hike. This kid can go forever. I don't think he ever stops. When it was time for bed he kept begging to stay up and hang out by the fire. We promised him we would have one going again first thing in the morning.

Everything went really well until... It was time for bed. The kids slept really well but Tj and I had a really hard time. We thought it would be fun to sleep next to the river. We were thinking it would be the perfect spot! Well we were wrong. It was so freaking loud. The kids didn't seem to mind but you couldn't here ANYTHING. We were trying to talk to each other and we couldn't even hear that. It wouldn't have been that big of a deal but when we went into camp they had a sign that said Bear Country. It just had a list of warnings and things you needed to do to be safe. Being so close to the river and not being able to hear anything this freaked me out just a little. I turned to Tj and literally Yelled "as long as you feel safe I will be able to go to sleep." When he didn't reply it scared me even more. Then he decided that we should probably move everyone to the car just to make sure everything would be fine. So at 2 in the morning we are trying to figure out how to get all the seats in the car to lay flat and load all the sleeping kids in the car. Once we got everyone up and moved we realized this was a really dumb idea. There was NO ROOM. The older boys slept right threw it and didn't even realize we had moved them to the car. Gage however thought it was time to play. He was kissing us, trying to hit our lips to make us go (Broom broom) You know what I mean lol, and hitting us. We decided to put one of the seats up and have Gage sleep there so he would stop bugging us. He fell right asleep but then there was even less room for Tj and I. As soon as the sun came up we decided to get the heck out of that car! Needless to say we had a fire going for Damon around 5 am.

The kids stayed asleep until 7 and Gage didn't wake up until noon. I can't believe how long he slept! It was a really fun trip but next time we will not set up our tent that close to the river. Oh and if it says Bear Country I think I will stay away :)

Good Old Carnival

Our friends Matt and Adelle invited us to go to the carnival in Eagle Mountain. It was really fun. Growing up the Carnival was my favorite! It is funny and kind of scary that they have the same exact rides from when I was little still there. No one has died yet... That I know of! So why not let the kids have a little fun :) Thanks you guys we had a lot of fun.

Happy Daddy's Day

I just wanted to say Happy Fathers day to the Dad's in my life. First to my Dad! I love you so much. I am so lucky to have such an amazing dad. I have always looked up to you. You are such a great example to me. I have always respected you more than you will ever know. I feel so blessed to have been given such and amazing person in my life. You are also the cutest Grandpa ever. My kids love you so much. Especially when you give them cookies :) Love you Dad and I hope you have a Happy Fathers Day!

I am so lucky to have my Father in-law. Even though he has only been in my life for 7 years he means so much to me. He always is making me feel so good. I love that he calls me his favorite Daughter in-law (even if I am the only one) Thank you for raising such an amazing son, husband, and Dad, I love Tj so much. Thank you for being such an awesome Grandpa. I love you tons and I hope you have a Great Father's day as well!

Thank you for putting up with me! I know I am probably the biggest pain of all :) I hope you will always know how much you mean to me and the boys. Thank you for being such an amazing provider for our family. Right now I know it has got to be hard with School and Work full time. We love you for all you do. Have the best Fathers Day ever Babe.

MoHawks

What do you think? Honestly?!? I think they are cute!

Lagoon

It was stake Lagoon day last Friday. We took Gentry with us and had so much fun. I do have to say though, after having kids rides just aren't the same. After the first one I was feeling a little motion sick. By the end of the day I was so glad to be done LOL. My boys had a great time. Damon didn't like the big rides at first but he got the hang of them. The mouse trap ended up being his favorite! Brock wanted to go on all the big rides but he wasn't tall enough :( It was so sad because every time he would cry. There were a few he was tall enough for though. The bat was his favorite ride. Tj, Gentry and I all liked Wicked! It was a really cool ride. Plus we both went on it with Gentry which was really fun. I love that girl! She was so helpful. I am so glad she could come with us. We decided that next time we go, we will wait until they are all 46" tall. It would have been alot easier to leave Gage behind because one of us would always have to stay behind but, he loved it too. So how could you leave him out?? He is such a cool kid. Seriously the whole day he was so easy! I love that my boys are getting old enough to do some really fun things with!

Spur of the Moment Moab Weekend

We were planning on going camping with some of our really good friends this last weekend but the weather was not working out so... We decided to go to Moab! We left Saturday and came back Sunday night. It was short but it was exactly what we all needed. Saturday we went swimming, and then to a nice little place for dinner. I don't think they were use to having kids or that many at one table. When we walked in you could tell they didn't really want us to stay,But we did anyway :) After we walked to a grocery store to get a few things and almost the whole parking lot was senior citizen parking! We had one grumpy old man ask if we were running a day care. Ha ha Old people can be so funny sometimes. Saturday we woke up and went hiking! The kids did an awesome job. It was 3 miles and they all walked the whole way. We put Gage in a backpack and he was enjoying the ride, who wouldn't I wish I could have been on someones back the whole way! It was so beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice. The best part about it is... It wiped the kids out! They slept the whole way home and went right to bed. It was so great to just get away even if it was for only a day!

Brock can ride a 2 wheeler!

Brock is getting to be such a big boy. He learned how to ride a bike. This kid was not the easiest to teach. He did NOT want to have anything to do with it for the longest time. Now that he is riding it I can't get him to want to come inside the house! I am so happy he gave it a chance. We are so proud of you buddy.

Look out everybody he is ONE!!

Gage's Birthday was so much fun. We had a little BBQ for him on Sunday. That is when we had his cute Cake too. It was really fun to see him go after it! He didn't know what to do when it was a full cake so Tj cut a little piece off for him and then he knew exactly what he was doing! His real birthday was on Wednesday... Unfortunately both him and I had strep throat. He was still so happy. He doesn't let anything get in the way of that! I love this kid so much. It seems crazy that he has only been in our lives for a year. I think back and it seems like he has always been a part of my life. I am so greatful for him. He is such an amazing boy and I can't wait for the years to come! I just hope they slow down a little ;)

Where did the month go?

I find myself playing catch up all the time. I don't know where this month has gone. Between Soccer, graduations, field days, field trips and just life! I have way to much to blog about. So get excited! Here are a ton of blogs in one day. I am hoping this summer to keep more on top of my blog but we will see how that goes :)
